Synopsis

Trail Review

"This ancient mountain became a ski area more than 70 years ago, when Wausau residents cleared six runs by hand, installed the country's longest ski lift, and built the stone chalet from granite quarried nearby. We've taken the vision of the original founders to new heights every year for the past 13 years, and we are proud to continue to build upon the tradition of being Wisconsin's premier ski area."

"A mountain rising 700 feet, collecting more than its share of natural snow, and facing north to foster early snowfalls and excellent late season snow. Nature’s bounty is augmented by 500 snowguns, assuring plentiful snow from November through April."

"A total of 74 runs are spread over the face of this 700 foot mountain. There are acres of wide-open beginner runs. Mile-long intermediate cruising runs. Three mogul runs, five terrain parks with dozens of hits, jumps, rails and other terrain features. Super-steep expert chutes and tree skiing glades. Terrain for all abilities. You can ski for days and still be discovering new runs!..."
